Fantastic service, I asked which options didn't have soy and cucumber and he pointed out each one. At one point he wasn't quite sure so he went out back and checked a label. I didn't even have to say it was an allergy, and it was still treated seriously. Much respect, thank you.

I don't want to leave a bad review because the guy was so cool but I would recommend thinking twice when going late in the arvo, I went about 4.15pm on a Sunday. Everything looked good only problem was my sushi rice was a bit hard so for me it ruined it. I'll go back and try again early morning when the sushi is fresh and update this review because i believe they probably do make great sushi perhaps just need to get rid of the old stuff or sell it off half price imo

Hot miso soup on a cold day - amazing! And for only $1!!! So glad I stumbled across this place. I ended up sitting down and ordering their karaage don as well. The chicken was delicious. Really tender. Generous size, too. And got some sushi to take away as well!

The sushi at Sushi Takeaway is incredible! The salmon was fresh and everything was delicious! I noticed that the sushi rice and the chicken karage had really impressive subtle flavours that elevated the dishes into a very special experience! I recommend Sushi Takeaway to anyone in Alexandra! (Picture note: portion size is a bit larger, I already ate 2 pieces before I took the picture)

The best sushi shop in Alex! If you’re in town do yourself a favour and stop by at this place. People are great, prices are awesome, you get so much value with what you pay. We love the variety of sushi and how fresh it is, always! We love take away too! Just see how much we get from there, it’s that good!

I loved the experience of having my late lunch there (almost 3 pm). The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and I really enjoyed reading the little ones’ feedback on the wall with their drawings and favourite sushi.
